110 ton machine for railway track laying loaded on board M/V FWN Sun

On behalf of the company RB Solutions, and in collaboration with Begoma Spedition AB, we recently loaded a track-laying machine in Port of Uddevalla.

A track-laying machine is used within the railway, and this one was now leaving for Italy. There it will be renovated, and thereafter shipped to the next destination.

This was both an unusual and complex loading operation. For the lifts to be carried out safely, there is a lot of preparation that needs to be done. The track-laying machine consisted of four different units, with the heaviest weighing 110 tonnes.

Lifting and loading was carried out together with Havator, who had two mobile cranes on site with us. The cranes lifted the four units in tandem, from the railway tracks on the quay, to aboard M/V FWN Sun.
