The government is currently developing a new national infrastructure plan that encompasses Sweden’s transport infrastructure and the economic investments planned from 2026 to 2037. They have announced that they will make historically significant investments in Sweden’s infrastructure during this period.

For Port of Uddevalla, infrastructure is crucial for the efficient operation of our operations. Therefore, Uddevalla Hamnterminal has contacted the Government Offices to highlight the needs and challenges related to the infrastructure in and around the port, as well as in the entire Västra Götaland region.

Together with Uddevalla Municipality, we have invited Minister for Infrastructure Andreas Carlson, local politicians, customers, and other stakeholders to an infrastructure day in Uddevalla. The event will take place on Tuesday, 22 October.

During the day, our representative an CEO, Ulf Stenberg, will present the port and the challenges we face regarding the infrastructure to and from Uddevalla. Additionally, several presentations will be given by Minister for Infrastructure Andreas Carlson, County Governor Sten Tolgfors, and National Maritime Coordinator Björn Garberg from the Swedish Transport Administration, focusing on maritime transport, export, and the importance of ports.
