Exciting News! Crane delivery approaching

The delivery of our new crane to Västra hamnen is coming up. The project is on schedule, and the delivery is planned for early summer.
The crane is currently undergoing thoroughly quality checks with Mantsinen, the supplier, in Finland. With a particular focus on welding, painting, and self-inspection programs. Jonas, our Maintenance Manager, conducted an inspection trip at the end of March to ensure top quality on all parts of the crane. Jonas is pictured above with the crane's portal beam, the part that connects the crane wheels with the rotatable upper section.
Interesting facts:
- The crane will be 100% electric, powered via a flexible high-voltage cable that follows the crane along the quay.
- We have ordered the machine according to the current crane standard, which means that all parts should theoretically be able to lift 30 tons in 2 million cycles.
- The crane has been ordered with an Oil Quick quick coupler, enabling the operator to change between different hydraulic tools in approximately one minute. This switch can be performed from the crane cabin.
The crane will now be completed and undergo comprehensive testing of all equipment, known as FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), where representatives from us will also participate. Following this is the delivery of the crane, which will be transported by sea from Rauma in Finland directly to Västra hamnen in Port of Uddevalla in early summer. After installation, training for our crane operators and maintenance team will be conducted before the crane is put into operation.
Keep an eye out for more updates on Uddevalla's new landmark!
