A New Era Begins in Västra Hamnen - Welcome, Crane 60

On June 6th, Sweden’s National Day, our brand-new port crane - Crane 60 - arrived at Frölandskajen in Västra Hamnen. This marks a major leap forward in both operational efficiency and handling capacity at Västra hamnen.

The crane is a Mantsinen 300, the largest material handler of its kind in the world. It will enable us to handle larger cargo volumes and accommodate bigger vessels with improved precision and speed, tailored specifically to meet the needs of modern, sustainable port operations.

The arrival of Crane 60 represents a key milestone in the strategic development of Västra Hamnen and further strengthens Port of Uddevalla’s position as a competitive player in the cargo and bulk handling sector.
