From nordic forests to global markets

Last week, we loaded over 10,500 cubic meters of sawn timber at Port of Uddevalla onto M/V Sea Carrier. The shipment was in partnership with Gouda Trading, a company with extensive experience in the sawn timber trade.

The cargo originated from both Norwegian and Swedish mills. It was transported here primarily by rail, an efficient and sustainable way to connect forests and ports.

M/V Sea Carrier is one of 14 specialized vessels operated by Dalaro Shipping between Scandinavia and the Mediterranean. All of these vessels are designed specifically for high-quality timber shipments.

Next week, the Port of Uddevalla will once again handle a timber load. This time, the destination is England.
