Loading of transformer to Norway

Lastning av transformator ombord på Fartyget Link Sun

Here we are loading the vessel Link Sun with a transformer destined for Norway. It is a vital cog in the machinery that makes up the Norwegian railway network. After service and maintenance in Åmål, the transformer is now on its way back to Oslo to be recommissioned.

At first glance, the transformer may not look particularly remarkable, but weighing 138 tonnes and requiring a special trailer adding another 145 tonnes, the total load is far too heavy for the Norwegian road network. Sea transport is therefore the obvious choice. In less than an hour, using two trucks - one pulling and one pushing - we had the 57-metre-long convoy safely on board.

By sea, we can handle large, heavy, and oversized cargo without impacting other logistics flows, a sustainable and reliable solution for complex transports.
