Modern Crane Operator training with crane simulator

Anton tränar i kransimulatorn

As members of TYA, the Transport Union's occupational and work environment committee, we have the opportunity to use Hamn- och Stuveriskolan’s crane simulators in the training of both aspiring and experienced crane operators.

The simulators are based on modern technology using so-called real-time physics, which means that movements, forces, and collisions are calculated exactly at the moment the operator acts. The load swings, reacts, and behaves just like it would in real life, creating a realistic and precise training environment.

Using the simulator as part of the training is a smart and cost-effective way to complement practical, on-site training. By alternating between real crane operation and simulation, our operators can repeat maneuvers, practice challenging situations, and build confidence and precision - all without stress and without compromising safety.

In the photo, you can see Anton, one of our aspiring crane operators, training focused in the simulator. Here, he has the opportunity to challenge himself, make mistakes, and develop in a safe environment.

Simulator training is an important part of our work to build future competence by developing skilled, confident, and safe crane operators.
