Royal presence when Royal Wagenborg christened its Easymax vessels
Last Friday, the shipping company Royal Wagenborg held a double christening of its Easymax ships Máxima and Alexia. During the DelfSail event, in the presence of 2,000 guests, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands performed the christening ceremony of the two vessels. One of which is of course named after the queen herself.
Port of Uddevalla was represented by our Port Captain Robert Jönsson and Marketing Manager Jacob Engholm. As invited guests, they had the opportunity to attend both the christening, and a tour of the port to see all the vessels docked in the Port of Delfzijl during DelfSail. We thank Royal Wagenborg for the invitation, and for a fantastic day!
According to Royal Wagenborg, the Easymax is the latest ice-strengthened vessel type with unmatched fuel efficiency performance. Today, with the lowest CO2 footprint per tonne of cargo carried, the Easymax series leads the global Energy Efficiency Design Index.
