Main gate - cargo reception

All cargo to and from the Port of Uddevalla passes through our gate. On this page you will find information about opening hours, contact details and notification of cargo.

Delivery and collect information

All cargo to be collected or delivered must be pre-adviced.

Pre-adviced to be sent no later than 14.00 working day before.

At arrival the driver must provide reference number as stated on the advance notice.

The latest arrival time for unloading/discharging cargo is 15.00.

Control of cargo

In order to meet the requirements of The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, ISPS, cargo checks are carried out continuously throughout the port area.

Requirements for notification and cargo documentation

All loaded and closed cargo carriers and containers intended for export must be provided with seal. All cargo must be notified and accompanied by a shipping document, containing at least the following information:

• Mark
• Number of packages
• Weight/volume
• Destination

Please note that if the transport consists of mixed consignments of cargo, this must also be stated in the shipping document and consequently also how many parcels each consignment consists of and markings on these.

Dangerous cargo

Dangerous cargo must be notified at least 24 hours before arriving at the terminal. The notification must contain at least the following information.

• UN-number
• Official shipping name (proper shipping name)
• IMDG class and possible secondary risk
• Flash point (°C)
• Packing group
• Quantity and description of packaging
• Gross weight (tons)
• Net weight (tons)
• Sender (Name and Address)
• Recipient (Name and Address)

In the event of deficiencies in documentation

When a shipment arrives at the terminal and the above documentation requirements are not met, the shipment will be unconditionally rejected.
