Export via Port of Uddevalla

On this page you'll find information about the rules for exporting cargo via the port of Uddevalla. The port has been assigned the code Z6UY as an approved place of departure. This code must be entered on the export declaration for cargo being shipped from Uddevalla.

Changes in export regulations to Third Countries

Due to new EU legislation, a new export process is introduced for cargo shipped via Port of Uddevalla, starting from 1 October 2024 with a transition period until 1 December. The process includes these three steps:

  1. Export declaration (IE515): As an exporter, you submit an export declaration. When the goods are released for export, you receive an MRN number.
  2. Declaration of goods to the office of exit (IE507): An actor at the place of exit (for example a port terminal, a freight forwarder or a customs agent) submits a declaration of goods to the customs office of exit through message IE507 with your MRN number. This must be done before loading onto the vessel.
  3. Notification of the export of goods (IE590): The MRN number must then be passed on to the actor who submits the notification of the export of goods. This last notification is made at the time of the goods' export. Not needed if using STC.

Port of Uddevalla has been assigned the code Z6UY as an approved place of departure. This code must be entered on the export declaration for cargo to be shipped from our port.

More information can be found at the Swedish Customs Administration, which here tells you more about its new system for exports External link, opens in new window., adapted to the new EU legislation.
